It provides an engaging and age-appropriate introduction to the principles of scouting, focusing on character development, outdoor activities, skill-building, teamwork, and community involvement. Cub Scouts participate in fun and educational activities within small groups called dens, led by adult volunteers, and they work towards earning badges and advancements while fostering a sense of adventure and camaraderie.

Organization

Cub Scout Pack 295 in Guyton, GA consists of boys and girls from first to fifth grade who meet in dens of around five to ten children. Each den, led by an adult Den Leader, is composed of kids in the same grade level, with Lion Cubs for kindergarteners, Tiger Cubs for 1st graders, Wolf Cubs for 2nd graders, Bear Cubs for 3rd graders, and Webelos for 4th and 5th graders.

Den Leaders are volunteers who play a crucial role in planning den meetings, tracking advancements, and encouraging parental involvement.
